What we build.
Beancount.io is a cloud platform for Beancount, the open-source plain-text double-entry accounting system. We provide hosted Fava, Git version control for your ledger, AI-assisted imports, and mobile apps — everything you need to run your finances like a software project.
Financial data should be yours: readable, scriptable, and auditable forever.
Plain-text accounting puts your financial records in a format you can version-control with Git, process with any script, and open in any editor — long after any proprietary tool stops working. We believe this is the right foundation for personal and business finance in the age of LLMs.
